We are formally announcing a significant upgrade to our platform’s infrastructure. We are migrating to Google Cloud Web3, leveraging the resources and support offered through the Google for Startups Cloud Program and Partnerships Accelerator.
Rationale for the Migration:
This decision was made after careful consideration and is driven by:
-
Partner Ecosystem Benefits: Opportunities for potential investment, ability to create services as a partner. Current partners like Nansen and Alchemy provide their services to Google Cloud users.
-
Financial Credits: Up to $200,000 USD in credits over two years, applicable to Google Cloud and Google services. This will significantly reduce our infrastructure expenses.
-
Strengthened FOLD Staking Program: A key benefit of this migration is the redirection of cost savings. Funds previously allocated to infrastructure will now be used to support the FOLD staking program, potentially leading to increased rewards for stakers. - We will be redirecting the cost savings to bolster the staking program.
-
Technical Support and Community: Direct access to Google Cloud Web3 experts and a dedicated community forum for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
-
Early Product Access: The opportunity to influence the Google Cloud Web3 roadmap and gain early access to new features and services.
-
Ability to Market our Services and Resources: Access to Node Operators using Google Cloud and the ability for them to leverage our AVS Boost/MEV Relay directly. In addition, access to training materials and labs to enhance our user’s expertise in how to best use Google Cloud technologies with our services.
Service Downtime
Due to the nature of the migration, we may observe sporadic downtime of the Relay. This should be a non issue by next week. We are consolidating all our infrastructure providers into Google (from 4 to 1).
